RRC Chennai Recruitment 2012 – Cultural, Scouts & Guides Quota Vacancies: Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Southern Railway Chennai has issued notification for recruitment against 16 Cultural and Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2012-2013. Eligible candidates who satisfy all eligibility criteria may apply through prescribed application format on or before 14-12-2012. RRC Chennai Vacancy Details:
Total No of Vacancies: 16
Names of Quotas:
1. Cultural (Grade Pay: Rs. 1900/-) – 02 posts
2. Scouts & Guides (Grade Pay: Rs. 1900/-): 02 posts
3. Scouts & Guides (Grade Pay: Rs. 1800/-): 12 posts

Age Limit: 
For Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-: Candidate age must be between 18 to 30 years for UR category, 18 to 33 years for OBC category and 18 to 35 years for SC/ST category.
For Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-: Candidate age must be between 18 to 33 years for UR category, 18 to 36 years for OBC category and 18 to 38 years for SC/ST category.
Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-01-2013. (Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules).

Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Music from Government recognized Institute for Cultural Quota and A President’s Scout/ Guide/ Ranger/ Rover (or) Himalayan Wood Badge Holder (or) A pre-HWB trained Scout Leader/ Advanced Trained Guider/ Leader/ Captain, should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for atleast 3 years in recent past and should continue to be active, should have attended atleast one event at National level and one or two events at State Level (or) should have a good record of participation in Scouts/ Guides at Unit/District Level for Scouts & Guide Quota.

Application Fee Details: Candidates need to pay application fee of Rs. 40/-. SC/ST/EXSM/PWD/Women/Minority candidates/Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of fee. Fee must be paid in the form of Demand Draft / Indian Postal Orders, drawn in favour of ‘Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment)’, payable at Chennai.

How to Apply: Candidates need to download application format available in the notification, fill it with all mandatory details, attach photograph, attest signature, superscribed “Application for Recruitment Against Cultural Quota or Scouts & Guides Quota-Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- or Rs. 1800/-” on the envelope and send it along with payment receipt and copies of all relevant certificates to the following address, The Assistant Personnel Officer/Recruitment, Railway Recruitment Cell, Southern Railway, No.5, 3rd Floor, Dr. P.V.Cherian Crescent Road, Egmore, Chennai – 600 008 on or before 14-12-2012.
