SAP BW/BI Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a BW/BI Programmer to join our growing department. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Configuration of the BW/BI 7.0 to build custom analytic solutions
• Data modeling of transaction data, master data and data mart layers
• Creation/maintenance of Aggregates and Process Chains
• ABAP development of User exits, BI BADI/CMOD enhancements
• Develop reporting solutions using BOBJ, Crystal Reports, Webi and Xcelsius
• Interact with business to conduct requirements analysis, testing coordination, and perform change management/training for BW Reporting and applications
• Monitor, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues
• Develop and drive the implementation of BW best practices and standards for the team
• Perform routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing
• Support the on boarding and training of BW Power Users. This includes providing technical training of key BW toolsets such as BeX web analyzers, query designers
• Maintain high standards on the documentation of business requirements, functional and technical design

Required Skills / Experience

• Portal Configuration skills
• Deep knowledge of configuration of B/W data objects including Info objects, Info sources, Transformations, ODS, Cubes, Info Providers, and multi providers
• 5+ years technical experience and at least 3 years of SAP BW/BI, including 2 years in Version 7.0
• Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field; or equivalent experience
• Deep knowledge of BI extractors from the ECC system and working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables in version ECC 6.0 environment.
• Extensive experience in reconciling R/3 data with BW data. Need strong experience in SQVI and the R/3 table sets
• Experience in BOBJ tools such as Voyager, Crystal Reports, webi and Xcelsius
• Extensive experience with Logistics data
• Experience with Cognos Impromptu and Decision Stream a big plus
• ABAP development experience
